Furcalite is a hydrated uranyl-calcium phosphate, rare within secondary uranium parageneses.

About the locality

The former Assunção pit is on private property and is not freely accessible: permission is required, an alarm system exists, and the area was later heavily altered by enlargement and flooding of the workings.
