Small yellow sulfur crystals, scattered and protected in cavities lined with aragonite showing fluorescence and phosphorescence.

About the locality
La Serrata: classic sulfur locality from Lorca, important in Murcian mining history. It had economic relevance for the area; exploitation began in the 1850s and continued until 1959. Today, remains of ruined mining buildings are still present. Mineralogically, it does not offer great variety: calcite, celestine and gypsum occur, but sulfur is the main mineral for collecting. Good specimens are not abundant; interesting examples appear like this one, with yellow crystals protected in cavities with calcite.
