About Meteorito

Campo del Cielo irons belong to the IAB-MG meteorite group. Their metallic structure and inclusions preserve evidence of thermal processes and impacts that affected their parent asteroid. Indigenous peoples of the Chaco knew these fragments long before Spanish expeditions. Today they form one of the classic localities in meteorite collecting.
