Titanita
Titanita is a mineral with formula CaTiSiO₅, in the Silicatos (Nesosilicatos) group. This specimen comes from Imilchil, Cercle de Imilchil, Midelt, Drâa-Tafilalet, Marruecos and joined the Terrium collection in 2025.
Description
Abundant titanite green crystals on ortoclase cream matrix
About Titanita
Titanite is a calcium–titanium nesosilicate appreciated for its wedge-shaped or leaf-like crystals, often flat, sharp, and strongly vitreous. In good specimens, its appeal lies in the combination of colour, partial transparency, and clear geometric form.
About the locality
**The Imilchil region, nestled in the Moroccan High Atlas, is an international reference point for mineral enthusiasts thanks to the spectacular morphology of its specimens.**
