Description
Piece with a cavity lined by dark green brochantite microcrystals with a velvety texture, and a small side area covered with electric-blue quartzified chrysocolla, with a vitreous luster from a microcrystalline quartz coating.
History of this specimen
Representative sample of secondary copper alteration in an oxidized environment. The brochantite has a fibrous appearance without defined crystals, while the quartzified chrysocolla forms a very aesthetic cavity, stable and with great contrast.
