Description
Small chip of very pale pink manganocalcite. It reacts intensely under ultraviolet light, with characteristic intense pink fluorescence.

- Etymology
- From the Latin «calx», “lime”, the root also shared by calcite, limestone and calcium. “Manganoan calcite” indicates the presence of manganese, responsible for the pink colour.
