Kutnahorita
Kutnahorita is a mineral with formula (Ca,Mn²⁺)(CO₃)₂, in the Carbonatos group. This specimen comes from Miniera di Levane, Levane, Bucine, Arezzo, Italia and joined the Terrium collection in 1990.
Description
Black kutnohorite crystals on colorless prismatic aragonite crystals, in an open carbonate geode. Set made up of two fragments with good arrangement and contrast.
History of this specimen
From the 1990s. An uncommon specimen, difficult to find nowadays. A very aesthetic and classic association from Italian Tuscany.
