Description

Small, lustrous white crystals line several rounded cavities in dark grey volcanic matrix, with pores and fluid forms. The aesthetic is soft and discreet, with a strong geological identity.

About Analcima

Analcime is a tectosilicate of the zeolite group. It forms lustrous pseudo-isometric crystals, common in volcanic environments.

About the locality

Weldborough, Tasmania, is a classic area for analcime associated with basalts. Specimens show lined cavities and good crystallisation in geodes.
