Ópalo from Opal Mesa, Zacarecas, México — Terrium

Description

Unusual specimen of transparent botryoidal chalcedony var. hyalite on matrix, with unique intense green daylight fluorescence under daylight, LED, and neon light. This piece has the strongest daylight fluorescence possible from the find. In artificial light (incandescent) the hyalite becomes almost colorless, and in UV light it is crazy neon green. The fluorescence is caused by a small uranium content. Cutting-quality material. This type of hyalite is known only from this locality in the world. Great 3D form and luster. Very aesthetic and spectacular.
