Libethenita
Libethenita is a mineral with formula Cu₂(PO₄)(OH), in the Fosfatos group. This specimen comes from Mina Miguel Vacas, Vila Viçosa, Évora, Portugal and joined the Terrium collection in 2022.
Description
Dark green libethenite aggregates on a ferruginous matrix, accompanied by whitish quartz and green crusts of malachite. Irregular arrangement and evident color contrast.
History of this specimen
Piece collected by hand by Vicente Andrés in 2022. Uncommon copper mineral association with good visual representation. Well-documented provenance.
