Description
Dark brown earthy mass. Formed by alteration of other iron minerals.

- Etymology
- From the Greek 'leimon' (λειμών), meaning 'meadow' or 'wet meadow'. This name is due to the yellow-ochre color of its earthy varieties, similar to that of dry meadows.
