Description
Fibrous aggregates of green clinozoisite with dark almandine garnet crystals scattered over matrix. Vitreous luster and acicular prismatic habit. Very good for a loupe.
History of this specimen
Los Serranos (Orihuela) stands out for its metamorphic formations rich in clinozoisite and garnets, thanks to the presence of schists and gneisses that favor the growth of these minerals. The area is highly appreciated by collectors for the aesthetics and color of its specimens.
