Description

Botryoidal aggregates on matrix, with some quite well defined (more than usual for the species) crystal faces and edges.

About Brucita

Magnesium hydroxide. Some of the most beautiful specimens of brucite come from Pakistan; its intense yellow color is unique and has never been seen in any other world locality.

About the locality

Killa Saifullah (Balochistan): A region featuring an ophiolitic complex and sedimentary rocks rich in gemstones and commercial minerals (such as chromite, magnesite, chrysocolla, malachite, and garnet). From a mineral collecting perspective, local brucite is the area's most prominent species.
