About Piromorfita

Pyromorphite is a lead chlorophosphate of the apatite group, formed in the oxidized zone of lead deposits. It usually crystallizes as hexagonal prisms or compact carpets, in colours ranging from green to yellow and brown.

About the locality

Sanda Hills, at Mindouli, is a Congolese locality known for secondary lead and copper minerals.
