Description

A clear sword-like gypsum crystal, 4 cm long by 2.5 cm wide, accompanied on matrix by smaller crystals.

About Yeso

Gypsum is a hydrated calcium sulfate, common in evaporitic environments and cavities. It may form transparent tabular or sword-like crystals.

About the locality

Fuentes de Ebro is a classic locality for gypsum and alabaster; access depends on private workings where local miners strongly protect their áreas and findings.
